In D.P.M.S. graduates of the Departments of Accounting and Finance, Banking, Economics, Social and Political Sciences, Administration, Polytechnics and Positive Sciences of HEIs and TEIs as well as Higher Military Schools of the country or of the corresponding foreign Institutions, whose degree has been recognized by the D .O.A.T.A.P. (former D.I.K.A.T.S.A.). For foreign candidates, they must have sufficient knowledge of the Greek language (according to the provisions of Law 2083/92).
The tuition fees amount to 4,200€ with the possibility of discounts depending on the method of payment.
In the framework of recognition and awarding of Excellence based on the Degree degree, the following is provided for:
One (1) Excellence Scholarship (full tuition waiver) for the prospective graduate student with the highest honors degree in an undergraduate department of study with an Honors degree.
Scholarships (50% tuition discount) for 4 (four) prospective postgraduate students with an undergraduate degree grade above 8 (eight). An evaluation order will be observed.
Partial tuition waiver scholarships are awarded based on academic criteria. The evaluation of the academic performance is based on the average grades in the courses of the 1st semester. The number of scholarships depends on the income of the PMS and the final decision is taken by the EDE.
In every P.M.S. in addition to the number of admissions, one (1) scholarship holder of the State Scholarship Foundation (I.K.Y.) who succeeded in the relevant internal postgraduate studies competition of the academic subject of the P.M.S. and one (1) foreign scholarship holder of the Greek State.
You can also combine your period of study abroad with an internship to gain professional experience, which is increasingly necessary to enter the job market.
The possibility of studying abroad is offered to undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as PhD candidates. Postgraduate students undertaking a full course of study abroad (up to two years) may be able to benefit from an EU-guaranteed Erasmus+ postgraduate loan.

The maximum annual number of new graduate students admitted to PMS was set at forty (40). Excluded from the above limitation are those with equal grades during the evaluation and the (1) IKY and (1) foreign scholarship holders of the Greek state, as well as one (1) member from all the E.E.P., E.D.I. categories. PI. and E.T.E.P.
The successful completion of twelve (12) courses, which are distributed over three academic semesters and accumulate a total of 90 credits (ECTS), is required to receive the Master’s Degree.
Attending the courses (36 hours/course) is mandatory. The maximum number of absences allowed for each course is set at 30% (12 hours/course)
The courses are held exclusively on weekends (teaching hours 10:00-16:00).
In the case of lectures with a physical presence, these are held in the classrooms and laboratories of the two Departments: Volos – Department of Economic Sciences – Matsangou building and Larissa – Department of Accounting and Finance.
The partial attendance of the Programme is provided for employees and in exceptional cases for non-employees The duration of partial attendance is six (6) semesters without additional financial burden. In part-time attendance, students for the first two semesters register for two (2) of the total four (4) courses offered per semester, of which one is a compulsory course “Research Methodology”. In the third semester they also declare two (2) of the four (4) courses offered. It is recommended that part-time students make course selections in such a way as to ensure academic continuity of courses with the same title, e.g. “Financial Accounting I” in the first semester and “Financial Accounting II” in the second semester. The number of part-time students may not exceed 30% of the enrolled students
Lectures may, under certain conditions, be organised using both synchronous distance learning methods in a hybrid classroom and asynchronous distance learning methods in order to ensure the integrity of the evaluation process.
The final written/oral examination for each course in both the regular and retake examination periods is carried out only with physical presence in the classrooms of the Matsaggos Building in Volos (Department of Economics) or the Gaiopolis Building in Larissa (Department of Accounting & Finance).
The program has proceeded to abolish the thesis 1838/22/ΓΠ/31-1-2022, which was published in the Government Journal No. 778/21-2-2022/t. Β’ It was replaced with courses that assist in professional directions such as Accountant and Certified Public Accountant.
Since 2018, the D.P.M.S. is recognized and certified by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) of Great Britain. DPMS graduates who wish to participate in the professional exams for obtaining the international certification of the Certified Auditor Accountant of ACCA are provided by the examination of nine (9) teaching units (courses).
Upon obtaining the master’s degree (i.e. after three (3) semesters, 12 courses) you can submit to ACCA the diploma supplement (English language) that you will receive at graduation for the recognition of the 9 units.
The Educational Program Strategic Business Reporting (SBR) – ACCA of KE.DI.VI.M. of Pan. of Thessaly, is aimed mainly at graduates of the “Accounting and Auditing” PMS, giving access to the profession of Certified Auditor and the world of Accounting and Auditing. This is one of the courses that will complete the Chartered Accountant certification in collaboration with ACCA.
CANDIDATE DOCUMENTS-RESULTS-REGISTRATION
Applications are submitted exclusively online on the DPMS website with the required supporting documents, which you will upload to the special platform of the DPMS. Within the deadline for submitting the supporting documents, those interested must submit their application and the required supporting documents exclusively online as detailed on the DPMS website.
Recommendation letters from the Professor/Employer are sent by the professor/employer himself exclusively electronically to the Postgraduate Program Secretariat before the interview date of the candidates.
At the request of a student who attends the PMS of the two cooperating Departments, the EDE may allow the student to enroll in a PMS course.
The results are announced to the candidates within 7 working days of the completion of the interviews. They are posted on the boards of the Departments in a format that ensures the confidentiality of personal data and are announced in the e-mail of the successful candidates. The successful candidates are invited to respond in writing (electronically) within a period of 15 working days regarding the acceptance or not of their inclusion in the Program.
In case of non-timely response of a selected candidate within the prescribed period, it is equivalent to the resignation of his candidacy. If there are resignations, the Secretariat informs the next in line of evaluation from the relevant list.
This possibility is only available to part-time students who are working. The P.M.S. meets all the conditions for inclusion in the LAEK program of the OAED. Please contact OAED for more information.
A scholarship is not granted in the following cases:
a) Postgraduate students who already receive a scholarship from another source
b) Postgraduate students who are on paid educational leave
c) Postgraduate students who are civil servants and
– whether they are paid by some public source
– whether they are on paid educational leave
d) Postgraduate students who are exempt from tuition fees
For postgraduate students as well as doctoral candidates, the provisions of paragraph 8 of article 43 of Law 2413/1996 (Government Gazette 124 A) apply to the financing of student loans mainly by banks with a long term and flexible repayment.
Professional Rights
All graduates of Greek higher economic schools are required to register as members of the OEE. Doctorates or holders of another postgraduate degree are also obliged to register as members of the OEE, even if they do not hold a basic degree from a higher economic school, as long as they are demonstrably using their postgraduate degree in economics to pursue an economics profession as their main livelihood. According to the provisions of articles 10 and 11 of Law 3912/2011, graduates of the departments of Accounting, Trade and Advertising, Business Administration, Tourism Businesses, Financial Applications, Finance and Audit and of Finance and Insurance of the School of Management and Economics of the Technological Educational Institutions (TEI) who are holders of a master’s degree specializing in the economic science of the Greek A.E.I. or an equivalent master’s degree from abroad and use their degree or master’s degree to take a position in the public and private sector or to exercise a free profession.
For holders of a recognized master’s degree in Accounting-Audit, Internal Audit, Costing and Business Administration, the required time to practice the profession of Tax Accountant to obtain a higher class license is reduced for a time equal to the duration of studies to obtain the master’s degree (Law. 3470/2006)
